A2
The A2 is the first model of the ARTESANIA range. The guitars in this range (from the A2 to the A20) are handmade in Spain in the purest tradition of Spanish lutherie. From the selection of the wood species to the final adjustments, they are individually supervised by our most experienced luthiers and are the result of more than 70 years of experience. They are assembled using the Spanish heel method. Here, the sides of the guitar are inserted into two grooves made on either side of the heel. The guitar must be built around this procedure and this can only be done by hand in a traditional way. This traditional assembly allows a better transmission of vibrations and gives richer tones. In addition, the use of real bone for the nut and bridge maximizes the transmission of vibrations between the strings and the instrument. Finally, the fretwork of ARTESANIA instruments is not flush. The frets are beveled and set back a few tenths. Thus, they will never interfere with the movements of the hand on the neck, even in case of temperature or humidity changes. The solid cedar/mahogany combination produces a soft and delicate sound.
