Fusion Box

Erica Synths

Fusion Box

Erica Synths Fusionbox is a distinct multifunctional analogue effects unit that combines BBD chip based effects – delay, flanger, chorus – with tube overdrive in the delay output and feedback path for extra thickness of sound.Fusion Box lowpass filtering is fully adjustable from none to extreme for a really deep bass sound. A special feature, not found in other contemporary stompboxes or effect units, is the Vintage Stereo Ensemble. The Vintage Stereo Ensemble provides the classic “stereo ensemble” effect, found on many vintage synthesizers from almost any brand and make. In stereo ensemble effect, the delayed, processed and filtered sound is added back to the dry (mono) audio with inverted phase for one channel, and direct phase in the other. This gives it the distinct and unique moving character, different from that obtained with chorus effects. However, use of inverted phase in stereo field also adds certain peculiarities to watch out for. For example, when such stereo audio is played back on an older “surround” decoding sound system, ensemble effect sound may move to the rear sound channel. Also, if the output gets mixed back to mono, the effect may disappear. This also applies to mono subwoofer systems, or speakers that are placed too close. This is normal, and occurs with any similar vintage stereo ensemble processing. In this case and if such oddities are undesirable, to avoid mono mixing issues, you can choose to use only one of the output channels, or use two separate ensemble processors for left and right channels.Fusionbox has adjustable input gain, therefore it works with various sound sources – guitars, units with line level signals (synthesizers, grooveboxes, etc.) and modular synths. Footswitch allows to switch on or bypass effects making Fusionbox ideal for guitar players.

Ego Driver

More than just a boosterWe all know the Tube Screamer, it's not like we all have one at home!We were always told that it was the best tool to boost an already crunched amp.The gain at 0, the volume at full and here we go!You break through the mix, you're on the front of the stage and you avoid drooling on the spectrum of the other instruments. There are of course other combinations and sounds to exploit from this scheme, and that's what we're going to study!Over the past several years, our team has analyzed more than 100 patterns inspired by the OD 808.With this knowledge base, we have created a new pedal, the Ego Driver. It is capable of reproducing all of these vintage sounds, and to go further by creating new ones!To achieve this it's quite simple, we focus on the saturation stage and,we reveal all the keys of its conception. Moreover, with the Ego Driver and the FX Teacher project, you will be able to create your own Tube Screamer, customize it and understand how to set it up to optimize your sound!Even more possibilitiesThe FX Teacher project allows you to go even further in your quest for sound.Indeed, you still have the easy-to-access controls on the front panel, which allow you to quickly adjust your pedal.Inside, you know our trimpots, we're big fans of them at Anasounds. They are very fine adjustments that offer a sound precision worthy of the creator. But this time, on top of all that, we added terminal blocks! They allow you to easily add and remove components with a simple screwdriver. So if you want to change a clipping diode or a filter capa, you can! It's as if in the end... you've created your own pedal!

Bitoun Fuzz

Bitoun Fuzz

"fuzz is life"What's better than a great fuzz? Two great fuzzes, of course. The spark came from plugging the Feed Me into the prototype of a Super Fuzz, and the Bitoun Fuzz circuit was born.As Confucius wisely said to his concierge, "Fuzz is life". Few guitarists have applied this maxim with as much conviction as Julien Bitoun, famous French fuzzophile, author of the reference book "In search of the lost fuzz".Since the appearance of this magical effect at the dawn of the 60's, the quest for the ultimate fuzz has inspired many designers and musicians who were trying to achieve this precarious balance between the fluidity of the incandescent magma and the rocky sputtering of an amp that lives its last moments. Or, to put it more simply, it's not easy to find a fuzz that's both huge, brutal, musical and easy to play. Or to put it even more simply, graouh, groooou and lalala. It took Anasounds and Julien Bitoun years of research to come up with the result you're holding in your sweaty, anticipatory hands. The original idea was to make the best possible version of the Super Fuzz. Super Fuzz is the name of an Italian-American movie released in 1980 in France under the name "drôle de flic". But it's also a fantastic Japanese pedal from the late 60's that has a huge sound, wandering on the side of the ring modulator at times. The problem is that it's a very unglamorous and treacherous sound to play, between the very abrupt sustain and the unfluid gain. On top of all that, the Super Fuzz sounds very big when played alone but in a band, its pronounced midrange dip makes it very easy to disappear behind the rest of the mix.Anyway, there was a better solution to be found, and here it is: the only thing better than one excellent fuzz? Two great fuzzes.Plugging the Anasounds Feed Me into the Super Fuzz prototype was the spark, and the Bitoun Fuzz circuit was born. The Bitoun Fuzz is not a "double fuzz" in the sense of other brands, which simply put two circuits in one pedal and allow to choose between two different fuzzes. The Bitoun Fuzz combines two circuits that have been designed to work together to provide the ultimate fuzz, the one you've been looking for until now. It's time to plug the thing in. Prepare yourself psychologically, the shock can be considerable. As far as settings are concerned, you shouldn't be lost: the tone (cookies) goes from a big and deep sound to an aggressive discharge that is not to be put in all hands. The volume (tea) can severely boost your poor traumatized amp, so start with a low setting and go up very gradually.Take a deep breath and strum your first note: welcome to the wonderful world of the Bitoun Fuzz, where you'll never have to look for the fuzz of your dreams again. It's right here, at your feet. Make good use of it, because as Gandhi said to his sister-in-law, "With great fuzz comes great responsibility".

Ages

A new sound journeyThe harmonic tremolo is one of the rarest and most interesting effects to customize your sound. It brings a more lively movement than a simple tremolo, it doesn't have the dated character of a chorus, and it doesn't take up as much space as a delay or a reverb.Whether you're looking to add a hypnotic edge to your arpeggios or add thickness to your melody lines, the Ages offers a new perspective on modulation.Historical but misunderstoodThe harmonic tremolo exists under many names:vibrato, harmonic vibrato, harmonic tremolo, vibe, univibe, and so on.In all cases, the stated goal is the same: to cyclically vary the pitch of your notes (rather than their volume as a normal tremolo does) by shifting the phase of the bass and treble. This separation of the two frequency ranges is reminiscent of how Leslie's cabs work, and it's no accident:the first harmonic tremolos, including the Univibe or the vibrato of the Magnatone amps, were intended to reproduce the effect of the Leslie. But these references have of course imposed their own sound color, and some manufacturers have since proposed their own version.A new eraA new level of live interaction. Give the pick a big thump and the effect will know exactly how to respond to you. Shoot the spinner and trigger a tremolo explosion!Always louderThe Ages' built-in attack sensor works in two different ways: it can allow you to vary the speed or depth depending on the strength of your attack. The secondary settings allow you to adjust all parametersparameters in the finest way possible for unprecedented results:you can for example accelerate the effect on your most violent picks to emphasize the most intense parts (and the speed automatically returns to the one chosen at tap tempo), or lower the depth of the effect when you play louder so as not to drown out your rhythms.

Back to the rootsSince 2017, we at Anasounds have set ourselves the challenge of offering you a reverb that reproduces the sounds of the spring built into the legendary Fender Twin Reverb, a practical way to find this unique sound without acquiring such a beast. To do this, we worked on several technologies, using dedicated digital processors, FV-1, BTDR from Belton... We tried everything! We finally came to this conclusion: there are very few 100% analog reverb solutions. We were surprised to see that this exceptional combination was very little exploited. The few competitors who have tried to do so have not gone to the end of the concept and propose big boxes with rather rudimentary settings. It is thus with the aim of improving this state of the art that we continued our research to propose a new way to approach the spring reverb. A Twin Reverb in a pedal and much more...And so the Element Spring Reverb was born! The Element is a pedal that takes the essence of the analog of the analog reverb, the one that is obtained by physically stimulating by physically stimulating springs with the guitar signal. You can attach it to your pedalboard with velcro. It has an input jack, an output jack and a 9V power jack. So far, nothing new! What it does have is a mini jack cable that plugs into the back of the pedal. This one will connect on the other side in rca to a box full of springs that we call a tank. This tank is essential because it is the one that allows to generate a reverb effect in an analog way. Compared to other spring reverbs that use huge boxes, the tank is detached from the pedal, offset and connected by a cable. The tank can be hidden under the pedalboard or kept on top, it's up to you! Self-drilling mounting screws are provided with the tank to allow you to mount the tank anywhere on the pedalboard.

Spinner

ANASOUNDS

Spinner

Express yourself at last!Until now, to extend the range of your effects, you could have added a tap tempo footswitch or an expression pedal. But in reality, what we used to call an expression pedal was just a control pedal which is exactly the same as turning a pot with your foot. Convenient, yes, but not very creative. With the Spinner, here is the first expression pedal worthy of the name.Quiet on the SpinnerThe very existence of the classic expression pedal comes from a very simple fact: when you have both hands busy with a guitar, it's very complicated to change its settings. How many of us have found ourselves impatiently waiting for the next silence to act on a button? In these situations, a foot pedal is invaluable, and pedal manufacturers have understood this from the 1969 Uni-Vibe with its pedal to the Line 6 Helix with its three pedal controls. But until now, no one has designed a pedal that really extends the possibilities of the main effect and allows for artistic expression. So here is the Spinner.A new kind of expression pedalThe idea came to us while working on the Ages pedal, as we were looking for ways to make the simple tremolo effect more lively and exciting. It took us months of research to come up with the magnetic system we used, and a close collaboration with a craftsman from Nice to make the custom metal part. The principle of the Spinner is as follows: the three-bladed boomerang-like metal star is mounted on a screw inspired by skateboard wheels. It has a magnet under each blade which the sensor detects and transmits the speed of rotation to the circuit. Thus, when you kick the star, the effect is affected according to a mode that you have previously chosen via the switch at the back (placed here so that it is not in the way of your foot!).Always under controlYou can choose to accelerate the speed of the effect until the spinner stops spinning, at which point the speed reverts to the speed you set with your classic tap tempo. You can also choose to slow down the effect in the same way. Finally, a killswitch mode allows you to cut the sound at the speed of the spinner. In the first two modes, you can even hit the star while your main pedal is off, and the Spinner will engage the effect in a punctual way until it stops spinning. Got a chord at the end of a bridge and looking to give it some drama? A good harmonic tremolo hit that goes off at full speed and stops dead should do the trick! Of course, as long as the spinner's rotation is the source of expression, you can stop it with your foot to stop the effect or return to your original speed. You can also put a magnet on the Magnet slot and make the Spinner slow down faster: its action then becomes shorter in time, and you don't have to stop it with the foot for specific passages. There are no buttons on the surface to avoid accidents, but you just have to open the pedal to control the three useful parameters via trimpots: the speed threshold at which you activate the effect if it was off, the threshold at which you deactivate this same effect and the acceleration or deceleration rate of the effect. This is just the beginningFor the moment the Spinner is compatible with our tremolo pedal and the Ages harmonic tremolo pedal, and it expands their possibilities to the point that it becomes their inseparable companion. But you know Anasounds, there are likely to be more compatible effects coming out in the future, Once you discover the pleasures of the Spinner, you'll probably want to use it on all your pedals!

Blue Sky Reverb

Strymon

Blue Sky Reverb

The blueSky from Strymon is a new kind of reverb... The ultimate kind! Ultra complete, it has become in a few months one of the references of the genre. The blueSky allows you to choose between 3 types of reverb. There is a Plate, a Room and a Spring. Each of these reverbs can benefit from one of the 3 available modes. Namely, the normal mode with which the effect is standard and unmodified, the modulation mode which allows you to add a slight chorus effect to gain depth and spacialization. And finally the shimmer mode which is a "regenerative" pitch shifter / octaveur. This last mode will take you straight to the soaring sounds like U2, Pink Floyd etc... The pedal has a depth control, a 100% analog mix allowing a balance between the dry and wet sound, from 100% dry to 100% wet. A pre-delay setting to delay the triggering of the effect is also present and we can sculpt in an extremely precise way the response and color of the reverb through the low and high damp pots that act as buttons Tone in the low and high spectrum. The blueSky is able to excel in all styles, from vintage plate, through spring reverb that makes a nice "douing" with each attack, to huge slices and ambiences, with a colossal spacialization and diffusion! No matter how you use it, the blueSky remains perfectly defined, natural and totally transparent. It acts like a layer on your original sound without ever distorting it. Whether you're a guitarist, keyboardist, or any other type of player, the blueSky is highly addictive and is sure to develop your creative side! Finally, the Favorite function (widely used throughout the range) allows you to save an additional preset, so you can access two totally different sounds immediately. The equivalent of two pedals in one! The blueSky has stereo inputs and outputs, a true bypass mode and a trail mode. It's entirely made in the USA and built around a brushed aluminum chassis, like all blueSky models. With the blueSky you will definitely have your head in the clouds! 9V power supply includedSpecifications: - Hand crafted, computationally intense spring, plate and room algorithms- Normal, Mod and Shimmer modes for each algorithm- Super low noise, high performance 24-bit 96kHz A/D and D/A converters w/ 115dB typical signal to noise- Analog dry path for a zero latency dry signal that is never converted to digital- High performance DSP stuffed into a compact form factor- Favorite footswitch to save a favorite sound- Dedicated pre-delay control- High and Low damping controls for uber-flexible reverb tone shaping- Mod mode for a beautifully modulated spring room or plate reverb- Shimmer mode for infinite pitch effects "in the tank"- TRUE BYPASS (electromechanical relay switching)- Selectable "trails" mode with high quality analog buffered bypass- +/- 3dB adjustable boost or cut when the effect is engaged- Stereo input and output- Powered with a standard 9V center negative DC supply.
