The Studiophile AV range no longer has to prove anything: delicate design but solid construction, derisory price but rich and powerful sound... M-Audio is doing just that with a second version of the AV 40 and 30, logically named the AV42 and AV32. The AV42 and AV32 are heirs to the qualities of their predecessors, but with the necessary improvements that have been made possible by the advances in multimedia technology in recent years. An uncompromising cast! The Studiophile AV42s are offered in a solid box made entirely of dense wood, in a magnificent black laminate vinyl finish. Each weighs around 1.7 kg and measures only 21 x 15 x 19 cm. They feature dual amplification, consisting of a 4" polypropylene driver, accompanied by a 1" silk dome high-frequency driver. The latter features an Optimage IV waveguide, which provides a clearer and more detailed sound image without any interference.
