M103
The MXR M103 Blue Box Octave Fuzz is a pedal that produces a truly unparalleled sound. It doubles your signal and gives the copy a dose of distortion-like fuzz, after which it is enhanced by two octaves. With the blend knob you can determine the balance between the effect signal and the clean sound. Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin used this wacky MXR pedal in 1979 in the song "Fool in the Rain"!The Blue Box's famous charm comes from the fact that part of its output can completely unbalance your amp, leading to the most fascinating distortion effects. As such, your sound will vary depending on the amp you are using and the situation you are in. Using the output knob, you can determine the overall volume of the M103. The Blue Box is powered by a 9-volt battery, but by using the separately available power supply, you will never run out of juice on stage!

M78
With the Custom Badass '78 Distortion, MXR revisits the RAT distortion pedal, a historic model launched in 1978 that has since proven its worth.More solid, more Badass. The vintage models are known for their big sound, used by Jeff Beck or Joe Perry, but not for their reliability. Modern models are a bit more solid but don't sound as good. Faced with this dilemma, MXR has taken the original circuit and adapted it to make an unbreakable monster that can be adapted to many musical contexts. Never without my Badass!Jazzmen love its fluid, organic character, rockers love its thick bass, and punks swear by its fuzzy edge when pushed hard. The Custom Badass '78 Distortion offers a much richer range of sound than the simplicity of its settings might suggest. It can even be used with equal pleasure on a clean sound or as a complement to an already crunchy sound. Factory Custom. The Crunch button gives access to a modified version of the original circuit. The dynamic range becomes wider, less compressed, and the distortion becomes richer in harmonics. No need to boost your pedal, it does it all by itself! And with a traditional tone control that ranges from low to high rather than the weird cut of the original pedal, you'll quickly find the sound you have in mind.

M101 Phase 90
Some pedals are as much a part of rock history as the Strat or the Marshall stack. The Phase 90 MXR is one of those very rare classics that are still at our feet. The original. The Phase 90 didn't inherit the code name M101 by accident: it's simply the first pedal marketed by the MXR brand as early as 1974. Collectors are tearing off the period models, but it is still possible to find this reference in a new version, still orange and more reliable than ever. A single button controls the speed, and there is always no need for anything else! Phaser for everyone!Back then, professional guitarists were quickly equipped with the Phase 90 and it was heard on every album for the rest of the decade, from Johnny Winter to Johnny Cash. Everyone appreciated the M101's enveloping, musical smoothness and ease of tuning. At slow speeds, the sound comes alive and swirls, while at high speeds, you get closer to the hypnotic feel of a Leslie cab. All-terrain.As early as 1978, Eddie Van Halen showed how Phase 90 was able to smooth the sound and give it a little boost of thickness to go from rhythmic to solo. More recently, bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Mars Volta proved that the phaser could still be rediscovered in many ways, always with an MXR M101. No doubt that we will still be plugging into this little orange box in fifty years or so.
